Skulpturenpark Köln

The sculptural objects and reliefs of Martin Honert (b.1953 in Bottrop) are the visualisation of memory-work, moments from his own biography staged as detailed, pictorial sculptures; or from supra-individual motifs like Zelt (tent) precise, straightforward objects turn into "general symbols". Switching between reality and fiction, his works become familiar witnesses to complex psychic processes. Honert, known on the international scene since the 1990s, was honoured with a monograph and comprehensive exhibition by the Galerie Neue Meister in Dresden (on the occasion of the Art Prize of the curatorium of the plastics industry 2006).
