Skulpturenpark Köln

Thomas Kiesewetter’s sculpture in this form is the first outdoor work the sculptor ever did. With this sculpture that goes back to a constructivist formal vocabulary, Kiesewetter dispensed with his characteristic colorfulness and even suggested that the sculpture be left to rust for a period of two years so as to develop its own self-generated coloring. The interchanging open and closed volumes in the sculpture produce many views from all sides and present the visitor with a dynamic movement in space.
