Directions by public transportation

Take the subway from Dom/Hauptbahnhof (stop is at Cologne Central Station, main entrance) in the direction of Reichenspergerplatz line 16, Buchheim Herler Str. or Thielenbruch on line 18 and get off at Reichenspergerplatz. Then either walk along Riehler Straße in the direction of Zoo/Flora and after about 5 minutes you will reach the main entrance to the sculpture park. Or from the subway station, take the number 140 bus one stop to Worringer Straße and walk about 2 minutes to Skulpturenpark Köln.

Photography

You do not need permission to take private photographs (without a tripod) in the Cologne Sculpture Park. Private photographs may not be published in print or digital media without permission. The commercial (non-private) use of any photos or recordings is not permitted without the written permission of the Cologne Sculpture Park Foundation. We would ask you to request a photo or filming permit in advance from the Cologne Sculpture Park Foundation at info@skulpturenparkkoeln.de. Usage agreements and usage fees will then be agreed individually. Photography with drones is not permitted in the Skulpturenpark Köln for safety and liability reasons.

    Rules of Conduct

    Dear visitors.

    The Stiftung Skulpturenpark Köln welcomes you.

    The Park you are now entering is a sculpture museum set in nature. Our goal is to make your visit to the Skulpturenpark Köln pleasant and eventful but at the same time to take care of the necessary security and protection of the exhibited artworks entrusted to us. In order to meet this requirement, certain rules are necessary, which become binding as house rules for all visitors and guests.

    Upon entering the Skulpturenpark Köln , visitors recognize these rules:

    • Artwork should not be touched or impaired in any way. Keep an appropriate safety distance.
    • The park may not be entered or driven with bicycles, E-Scooter, skateboards, roller skates, inline skates or similar.
    • The conveyance of art for children and adolescents is particularly important to us.
    • That’s why it is necessary to inform the responsible escort and parents, that playing, races, romping and provocative behaviors are not allowed and they take care not to bother other visitors and to endanger the artworks. Parents must keep an eye on their children at all times and are responsible for their conduct.
    • Ball games are prohibited. Picnicking on the lawn is not permitted.
    • Please dispose your waste in the waste baskets.
    • In consideration of other visitors, we ask you to avoid noise.
    • Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash and not allowed near the sculptures.
    • Smoking is prohibited in the whole area.
    • Persons who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs and who, as they appear, endanger the life and well-being of other visitors and the art displayed, are excluded from the visit and from events.
    • The commercial use of any photos is not permitted, as well as the use of flash, tripod or drone. For legal reasons, we are obliged to point out that photographs, filming and photo shootings are permitted only with permission. Please contact the foundation directly.

    Our supervisors are instructed to pay attention to these rules of conduct. For this reason, every instruction of the museum and supervisory staff is to be obeyed. If these paragraphs of the house rules are not followed, the persons in question may be prohibited from continuing their stay in the museum.
